Shed Roof Metal Building. I am going to be building a 12' x 24' shed with a 12/12 roof pitch and the plans call for an asphalt roof but says you can go with a metal roof which is what i want to do. Trusses are built for a sound roofing system on various buildings, but in simple projects like a shed, a truss can be built without the roof trusses for a shed are simple enough without having to use any specific engineering instructions.
